The grate bar is the main wearing part on the sintering pallet cars. It works in an environment with high temperature of about 1000℃ and CO, CO2, SO2 water vapor. It can withstand the high temperature wear of the sinter pellets and requires good high temperature wear resistance. , Anti-oxidation performance and anti-cold and heat fatigue performance.

 

The material development of the grate has managed the stages of ordinary cast iron, heat-resistant cast iron and ductile iron, high chromium cast iron, alloy cast steel and multi-element high alloy cast iron. High chromium alloy cast iron grate bars have good oxidation resistance and heat resistance, but their toughness is poor. It is of great significance to study and optimize the alloy composition of the grate bar, and to refine the structure uniformly to further improve the performance, increase the service life, increase the operating rate of the machine, and reduce the cost.

 

Trolley furnace grate is an important material to protect the sintering machine trolley, enhance the sintering gas permeability, and improve the sintering quality in the production of raw ore sintering. Because tens of thousands of grate bars of the sintering machine trolley work under high temperature conditions for a long time, they have to withstand severe vibrations during repeated dumping, so the grate bars of the trolley are easily worn. And every time the grate strip is replaced, it is not only prone to equipment failure or hidden danger, but also time-consuming and laborious.

 

To this end, the iron smelter organized many discussions among production, technology, and equipment personnel, starting from the process, equipment, and flow, boldly experimenting, tapping the potential and achieving success, and determined the best implementation plan. After repeated trials and continuous improvement, the factors that restricted the long replacement time of the grate bars were finally solved, and the positioning of the grate bars of the new sintering machine trolley was successfully realized.
