Grates bars are very important parts when it comes to sintering table cars, it is the wearing parts of sinter machine. the follow is the production process of grate bars.
1. styling
Using the clay sand wet casting process, a box of 2 pieces, the upper box eats 75mm of sand, the lower box eats 60mm, and the surrounding sand eats 35mm. It adopts template shape, and the parting surface is sprinkled with quartz powder. It adopts a closed gate with two internal gates of 12mmx25mm and a straight gate of 60mm.
After modeling, cover the gate with a watch to prevent debris from falling into the sprue and cavity, and seal it with plastic. Place the gate quilt to prevent the plastic from splashing and melting when the molten iron is poured and the sealing is not tight. Cover with 30mm-50mm thick molding sand.
After the modeling is completed, the sand box is moved from the compaction table to the pouring station, and the pressure is maintained by the compaction equipment, so that the sand mold in the sealed sand box reaches a certain strength before pouring.
2. Smelting
The medium frequency furnace with a capacity of 500kg is used for smelting. The charge ratio is 40% pig iron, 14% scrap iron, and 46% micro-carbon ferrochrome.
When the temperature rises to about 1630 degrees, 1% nickel is added, and samples are taken after it is fully dissolved, and the content of elements such as silicomanganese, sulfur, and phosphorus is detected, and the content of each element is controlled within the planned range, and the furnace conditions are met.
3. Pouring, boxing, quenching and tempering
In order to speed up the pouring speed, end ladle pouring is used, the pouring time is about 5-8 minutes, and the pouring temperature is controlled at 1450-1500 degrees. In the early stage of pouring, the molten iron is required to be injected slowly to reduce the pressure at the front of the molten iron flow and prevent the molten iron from flocculating. In the later stage of pouring, the speed slows down again, and the molten iron is maintained to rise steadily until the filling of the pouring cup is completed.
Open the box about 10 minutes after the end of pouring, and dig out the grate bar from the molding sand. At this time, the temperature of the grate bar is about 1050 degrees and it is in a high temperature state, which reduces the defects of sand on the surface. Knock off the floating sand on the surface, quench the grate, and cool it to 650 degrees naturally. The grate bars are piled together and covered with a layer of casting sand to achieve the purpose of tempering.
