The cast iron rivet welding plate undergoes three times of inspections, casting, machining and finished product. The casting inspection mainly check appearance specifications, technical requirements, and whether the cast iron plate has sand holes, pores, cracks, sand inclusions, shrinkage porosity and machining errors.

Unqualified castings are rejected to use, it’s not only increase company' s cost, even causing safety issue.

The castings should be cleaned after casting. There are manual sand cleaning and shot blast cleaning. Shot blast cleaning clean thoroughly but very expensive. The cost of manual sand cleaning is low but not very clean.

The suitable temperature for shot blasting of the welded cast iron platform should be close to the ambient temperature, but the cooling time of each foundry is different. Therefore, when designing the shot blasting machine, the possible high temperature of the production should be considered, so as to reduce future maintenance, and other problems including hidden operational hazards.
