1. Casting defects
Common casting defects of casting blanks include: porosity, shrinkage cavity, shrinkage porosity, slag inclusion, sand hole, crack, cold partition, drape, burr, sand sticking, bulging sand, insufficient pouring, damage, size deviation, deformation, wrong box , wrong core, eccentric core, lifting box, etc. These defects will restrict the use of the blanks and even cause scrap.
2. Casting inspection content
The inspection content of castings includes casting process inspection and finished casting inspection.
(1) Inspection of casting process.
In the inspection content of the blank, the inspection of the blank procedure is carried out during the casting procedure, and the machining personnel only make general understanding requirements. The inspection items for the casting process are as follows:
a: Inspection of modeling materials;
b: Model test;
c: Inspection of shape and core;
d: Inspection of the packing;
e: Pouring inspection;
f: Inspection of cleanup.
(2) Inspection of finished castings.
The inspection of finished castings includes: inspection of related technical conditions, surface quality inspection, geometric dimension inspection, etc.
a: Inspection of relevant technical conditions. Including the inspection content of the chemical composition and mechanical properties of the casting. The inspection of technical conditions such as mechanical performance inspection and metallographic and chemical composition inspection must be carried out in accordance with relevant national standards (here omitted).
b: Surface quality inspection. The inspection of the casting blanks by the front-line personnel of machining production during the process is mainly to check the appearance of casting defects (such as whether there is trachoma, sand hole, looseness, insufficient pouring, casting cracks, etc.); and whether the blank machining allowance is Meet the inspection of processing requirements.
