The cast iron platform is manufactured according to the standard of DIN876. The material is generally HT200--300, and there are also QT400-600 and ZG15-45. After two manual treatments (artificial annealing at 600-700 degrees and natural aging for 2-3 years), the cast iron platform has stable precision and good wear resistance. The cast iron platform should be installed horizontally and the load should be distributed on each fulcrum. The ambient temperature is (20±5)℃, and vibration should be avoided during use.

 

What are the main uses of cast iron platforms?

 

1. The reference plane for angle measurement: the cast iron platform is used as the reference plane, and the sine rod and angle gauge can be used for angle measurement.

 

2. The reference plane for parallelism measurement: fix the gauge seat, then make the gauge pointer touch the surface of the object to be measured, move the object to be measured, and check the parallelism of the workpiece surface and the flat surface.

 

3. The datum surface for height measurement: place the object to be measured and the gauge base on the platform to compare and measure the height, and then compare its height with the standard block gauge.

 

4.The datum plane of the line: It can be connected to the size of the work drawing to carry out the line work.
